What is a C.S.A. program, and how does it work?
Community Supported Agriculture, also known as C.S.A., is an important relationship between farmers and the community. Community members pay for a share of vegetables before the start of the season to help with the costs of production and starting in the spring, they will receive a weekly share.
What are some of the benefits of joining a CSA?
Being a C.S.A. member allows our customers to build a relationship with the farmer that grows their food. They also have the ability to develop a relationship with the land as it is optional to tour the farm, and also to help as a volunteer. Members have the option to pick up their shares on the farm directly, or at the farmers market. We harvest all of our vegetables the day before the designated pick-ups to ensure the vegetables are as fresh as possible! When you receive your weekly order everything will already be packaged and washed. We like to keep our packaging as simple as possible, so you can dig in to it faster. The most important and satisfying benefit of joining our C.S.A. program is the understanding that YOU helped the entire process come to fruition.

How does Little Fox Farm’s C.S.A. work?
We have decided to break up our program into three different types of shares. This provides an array of options to fit the needs of our members. We have a share for Vegetables, Flowers, and one which allows our members the freedom to choose which we are calling, “The Farm Stand.”
Our standard vegetable season lasts 28 weeks. We break up the program into two 14 week sessions. Members have the option of purchasing a 14 week half season, or the 28 week full season for vegetables. Members that choose to purchase the 28 week vegetable session have the added benefit of saving an additional $50. Our C.S.A pick-ups begin in mid April and end in mid November. As a member of our C.S.A, each week you will receive a bag of 5 to 7 different varieties of seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Our flower program runs for 24 weeks and is broken up into two 12 week sessions. Again, you can opt to be a customer of either half of the session or join the entire 24 week session. Flower availability begins in mid-April and runs through late September. Each week our flower C.S.A. members will receive a beautiful seasonal hand crafted bouquet.
Our Farm Stand option runs April through November. This option allows for more flexibility and less commitment. This is the perfect option for members who aren’t ready to commit to weekly vegetable pickups. After members prepay for their Farm Stand C.S.A account they will receive a weekly email containing a list of available vegetables and prices for that week. Each week that they choose to place an order they will email us back with their list of produce. Every order placed will be subtracted from the members account. When members use up their prepaid balance they can always add additional funds to their account anytime during the season.
Where do I pick up my share(s)?
Members can pick up C.S.A shares at the farm on Wednesdays from 4:00-7:00 or at Freedom Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9:00-1:00.
